Maca is grown at high altitudes where the roots are harvested. Once cleaned and dry they are then crushed and ground into a fine powder and sieved and comes from a certified source and is NON GMO.

In the late 20th century, Maca slipped into obscurity and remained hidden away at 14,000 feet elevation, teetering on the brink of extinction. The Incas had been saying for centuries that Maca works because it is loaded with natural precursors, amino acids, minerals and newly discovered Macamides and Macaenes, found in no other plant.
Maca powder has an abundance of calcium and an assortment of vitamins including C, B2 (riboflavin) and B6. As well as large doses of potassium which can help with digestion and make muscles happy. Maca has high levels of iron and iodine to promote healthy cells and to help keep your metabolism on track.
