Full of antioxidants, iron, magnesium, calcium, and mood-boosting neuro-transmitters
Cacao Nibs come in 500g and 1kg bags.
For example, if you order 2kg of Cacao Nibs you will receive two 1kg bags.
An order of 3kg will be three 1kg bags.
All orders come with an information sheet.
Keep your Cacao Nibs in an air-tight container in a cool dry place.
Interestingly, nibs don’t melt like chocolate chips but retain their crunchy texture. For people with nut intolerances, the texture is similiar of chopped hazelnuts with the flavor of rich, dark chocolate. We just love these little bits of chocolate that you find in cookies.
For a powdered version try our Cacao Powder
100 g Cacao Nibs
60 g Sesame Seeds
70 g Dates (stoned) if the dates are a little hard then soak them in hot water for 15 minutes first then drain before adding to recipe
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
2-3 drops Olive Oil
Cacao Powder, Sesame Seeds, Chia Seeds for rolling
In a coffee grinder, blender or food processor, blend the nibs and sesame seeds until they form a dry, crumbly mixture. It will not be smooth, but quite pleasantly textured.
In a blender, whizz up the dates until finely processed. You can also use a knife to finely chop the dates up.
Add the Cacao nib/sesame seed mixture and process until combined.
You can now form the mixture into small balls, by using your hands or a spoon to make them into the size of walnuts then roll them into some cocoa powder or sesame seeds, depending on your preference. You can also roll them in some finely chopped nuts, coconut or chia seeds.
Store in your fridge and nibble away.
