PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: plant root of the genus Withania, of the family Solanaceae. Ashwagandha powder is obtained by grinding the dried roots of the plant.

DOSAGE: Determining the appropriate intake of Ashwagandha powder depends on individual health goals but most research suggests that taking 250–600 milligrams (mg) per day for at least a month maybe beneficial. If consuming for 3 months then take a break for a month before further consumption. Add it to your cereal, smoothies
WHO SHOULD AVOID IT: Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those with autoimmune diseases, or people with thyroid conditions should avoid or be extremely cautious with it.

Storage: store in a dry place at room temperature in an air-tight container in a cool dark place.
Safety: Ashwagandha appears to be well tolerated for up to about 3 months of use, but its long-term safety is not known. Common side effects (e.g., loose stools, nausea, drowsiness) are usually mild. However, there are a few reports of more serious side effects, including adverse effects on liver function. Ashwagandha might also affect thyroid function and interact with some medications. Some experts advise against the use of ashwagandha by women who are pregnant and by men with hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
